Congratulations to the Midget BB Rapids for finishing in second place at the Peterborough Ice Kats tournament this past weekend. During round robin play the Rapids beat Peterborough 3-0 and lost 2-1 to both West Northumberland and Sudbury. Advancing to the quarter finals the team faced Windsor and won in a shoot out 2-1. Sunday brought a semi-final 2-1 win against Casenovia from Buffalo. The Rapids faced Hamilton in the finals where they fell 3-1. This was a total team effort and everyone contributed to the success of the weekend with 12 players registering points and Kendall playing all 6 games. Well done ladies!

The Rapids Midget BB continued LLFHL play last weekend with a lost and a tie. The Midgets played Hamilton on the road Friday night and despite a well played game, they were shutout by the first place team 2-0. Sunday the ladies played Stoney Creek at home and had to settle for a 2-2 tie. M. Spiers scored a short handed goal and S. Jackson scored a power play goal on an assist by B. Mulholland.
This weekend the Midgets play away against St. Catharines and Oakville. The next home game is Sunday vs. Hamilton. Good luck ladies!

The Rapids Midget BB team won the U17A Buffalo Rush Inferno Tournament this past weekend. After the round robin play, with a 2-1-1 record, the Rapids faced Princeton in the semi finals. Tied 3-3 after overtime, they came out on top in the shootout to advance to the finals. Playing K-Stars from Michigan, the Rapids ended up in their second shootout of the day. With strong goaltending and hard work from every player the Rapids earned the win. Congratulations ladies!

The Midget BB team had to settle for a tie and a loss this past weekend. The team travelled to Stoney Creek on Saturday to tie the Sabres 1-1. Scoring the goal was K. Savoy on an assist by K. Miller. Sunday the team hosted Hamilton and took their first loss this season when the Hawks scored 3 times in the third.
After 6 games, the Midgets are currently sitting in 2nd place with a 3-1-2 record. Keep working hard ladies!
