The Atom A Rapids had a successful week, qualifying for both the OWHA provincial championships in April and the Lower Lakes Championship Weekend in late March. The girls clinched first place in their provincial playdowns group with a 3-3 tie in Stoney Creek on Wednesday, then defeated Brampton 4-0 the following night to win their Lower Lakes playoff series. It was a strong effort in all areas, with the seven goals the team scored coming from six different players. The team has had a great season, and this is another outstanding accomplishment for the girls and the coaching staff. Best of luck to them at their two upcoming tournaments.
