Rapids Atom BB earn silver in Huntsville
The weekend of January 11-13 our Niagara Rapids Atom BB team attended a tournament in the beautiful town of Huntsville. In all 3 games of the round robin the Rapids produced even scoring across all 3 lines, grabbing the early lead and not letting it go. Having come together as a team to produce their best efforts of the season the Rapids advanced to the final game with a 3-0 record and 16-0 goal differential… they were the team to beat.

With a night off the Rapids and families braved the cold to enjoy a fun night of outdoor skating under the stars at Arrowhead Park. Skating loops along the torch lit track with friends is a memory that is sure to last for all of us.

The final game against Aurora was a nailbiter from start to finish. Despite a strong push late in the third period that had Rapids fans on the edge of their seats, Aurora managed to hold on for the 2-1 win and the Rapids clinched Silver. Way to go girls!

A huge amount of credit goes to the Coaches, Manager and Trainer for such a successful and enjoyable outing for our girls. Kudos to the Huntsville Girls Hockey Association for an excellent tournament. Most importantly, great job Niagara Rapids!!!

Since the 80s, Brad Noyes had a passion for sports' great athletes and the collectible card market. It's amazing to think that collectible cards originated from a company trying to find better ways to market their gum. I started selling packs, boxes, and singles of Upper Deck, Pro Set, etc in a small area in my dad's (Rob Noyes) stores Kay's Korner Variety & Coins Unlimited on Thorold Road in Welland, Ontario. The early 90s hobby craze catapulted success and a Sports Card Dealer was high in demand.
