The Niagara peewee BB Rapids girls hockey team claimed their third tournament gold medal this year by defeating Grand River 1-0 in the championship game of the Cambridge Roadrunners New Year’s Challenge Cup. The Niagara peewee BB Rapids girls hockey team started their season with a gold-medal victory. The Rapids won the Niagara Fall Classic Championship over the weekend. Niagara got by Etobicoke 3-1, Mississauga 4-0 and Toronto Leaside 4-2 and lost to Whitby 1-0. The girls met Whitby in the finals and this time came out on top 1-0.
